Alay sa Diyos Community is a Chinese-Filipino Catholic trans-parochial charismatic marriage encounter community. It was founded in 1985 through a multisectoral effort of the marriage encounter foundation of the Philippines, aimed at benefiting the parents, alumni/alumnae of both parish-related schools Xavier High School and Immaculate Conception Academy. First known as the ICA-Xavier Marriage Encounter Community, its name was formally changed to Alay sa Diyos Community in 1987. The Magis of the Ignatian Spirituality and through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary inspired the Alay Sa Diyos Community to play a role model and to promote faithfully the awareness and exercise of Christian marital and family values.

The Alay sa Diyos aims to develop the total Christian person so that he/she may become a better spouse, parent/child, employer/ employee, professional/ businessman, neighbor, and member of the larger community/society. The outreaches include establishing of independent Marriage Encounter Communities in Pag-asa in Q.C. North, Cebu City and Iriga City.

With mutual respect for cultural and individual differences, the Alay sa Diyos tries to foster spiritual growth among its members and their families that they may deepen their commitment to:

Listen and talk to God more intently

Share faith experiences

Be aware of the needs of others

Exercise fully the charismatic gift of the Holy Spirit of nurturing a community atmosphere conducive to harmonious interchange of Chinese-Filipino cultural and Christian marital and family values and traditions

Form as Chinese-Filipino families, they serve to uplift the less fortunate brethren through the sharing of resources, the spreading the word of God and the loving worship of the one true God
