We have the famous call of Moses. How does the theme of call resonate with the Season of Lent?

Lent is a time of invitation of Jesus for our transformation and conversion. In particular, we may have similar experiences of Moses when we feel we are being asked to do something which is beyond our powers and capabilities. We simply feel our limitations and insufficiency to be able to perform the task entrusted to us. How can my boss or God for that matter give me this responsibility and mission when I am so lacking in talents?

The answer of God is simply: “I AM sent me to you.”

There was this man who was thinking of teaching in China as part of his formation. He was not surely the best in his group but he felt that this was some sort of adventure but more so, he felt that God was calling him to spend some time in China. By his work and dedication to his work, he hoped to touch them and thus serve as his way of evangelization to those who still remain ignorant of Jesus. The insecurities were there considering that he did not speak Chinese. In the end, his only response why he decided to go on was the consolation that indeed it is God (I am) who missioned him there. The seeds of Christianity will continue to be planted there and hopefully, there shall be harvest in the future.

This season of Lent is an invitation of our unwavering trust in God who will bring into fruition whatever mission God entrusts to us.

Finally, we pray for one another, for those who have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most.

Have a good day!
